Vivi's Bridge Camera Challenge: Portraits

A portrait is a classic photograph designed to capture a person. Typically it is face on, but the person doesn't necessarily have to be focused on the camera. The subject can be distracted by something in the distance or daydreaming. They can be serious or sassy, colorful or black and white. Portraits come in many shapes and sizes. - www.thephotoargus.com

I love capturing emotions, but I prefer outdoor photography and natural lighting. I am not challenged by studio photography, and kind of awkward too! I hate sitting in the studio being asked to look there, or move to the left/right... or powder my nose... or straighten my hair... haha , so I will never do that to my subjects. I want them to be carefree as much as possible so my shots are mostly "stolen" , I capture more emotions that way.

I hope you will enjoy my photos, I have taken them from my travels and right in our own backyard!Smiley

With you on capturing more emotions thru stolen shots. Naiinis ako minsan kung pinapapose ako ba't hindi nalang shoot ng shoot, I won't mind ;)

  15. "I love capturing moments, I am more comfortable with natural light so I do a lot of outdoor photography. Most of these shots are stolen shots, I capture more emotions that way... " - I believe you'd made your statement! Kudos! Great shots as always!

  17. True emotions of a human being are very well captured if they are done in a stolen shots. Looking at your pictures taken is impressive.

  18. People are one of the most challenging subjects in photog. You really need to have perfect timing to capture the moment. That's why I'm sticking to food. I just need color and good lighting. Lol. :)

Minsan, dun mo makikita talaga ang emosyon ng tao.. genuine emotions. :D Ganun madalas ginagawa ko.. stolen shots. haha. Not an expert in taking pictures, pero mahilig lang ako magpicture. point and shoot.. :p

  22. Great pictures Ms. Vivi! :) What I love about this post is that each picture conveys a different emotion. And natural emotions talaga, hindi yung staged. Nice! ^__^ Have you considered going professional po? :)

Btw, I'm actually scouting for an upgrade to my Sony Cybershot point and shoot (don't have a dslr, hehe) and from your pics, I can see that maganda pala ang Lumix. Nalilito na tuloy ako, hehe.

Have a nice day! Followed you on GFC. I love travel blogs! ^____^
